So, it's called the IED Syrma, utilizes a 1+2 layout with a rear-hinged canopy for maximum driver visibility, and is envisaged to use a hybrid powertrain combination of a 4-litre V6 and electric motor to give 900hp. While I'm not usually a fan of futuristic vehicles, I would actually love to own something that looks like this. I'm not sure why Jalopnik didn't make any mention of this vehicle, as it's one of the standouts of the show in my opinion.

Not too shabby! The IED name though... improvised explosive device?

It's called the IED. Really? Someone wasn't thinking.

I feel as though they definitely drew some inspiration from the P1 for the back end. My new favourite is the Giugiaro GEA, I think it looks sensational for a saloon car.

"Maximum driver visibility?"

The reason why it doesnt get much coverage is because it will never be a real car. Its a concept done by design students.
I still think its weird they do one design to represent the school instead of what CCS does, puts a handful of models in their display.

Haha. No, it's short for "Instituto European de Design." It's a design school in Turin and this car is their Masters degree final year project.

Its the name of the school, the car was designed by students.

"Honey, you're in this guy's blind spot."
"I'm not either. Let me just drive, will you?"

Aw, that is one hell of a final year project.
Too bad I don't speak Italian.

I can definitely see that.
That looks terrific.

I don't know. I just pulled stuff from the press release.

Well, I would still like to see coverage of it even if it never comes to fruition.

Haha.

It is indeed. It must be exciting for them to actually see their creation produced to scale.

It's what every Industrial Design student learns to do, unless you picked a really bad college.
I'm just jealous they got to build a supercar for their final year project. Mine will probably end up being something rather more dull.

Oh I didn't realize that.
If I may ask, where do you go to school?

I'm finishing up high school before going to App State this fall.

Oh terrific.
Well, I hope you enjoy it.
